Waterhole Assistance

Another conservation objective for DART is to assist Parks and local donors to more efficiently provide clean drinking water for the animals during times of drought.

Depending on what is needed, the required task could involve assisting pump attendants to refuel the pumps; collect sand and rocks and make concrete to fix the troughs; cleaning out drinking troughs that have been filled with sand and debris; dig pipelines to supply water from pumps to waterholes.

For D.A.R.T. it is also about rescuing young elephants which sometimes get stuck in some troughs or in mud at waterholes
